Gr-granddaughter of Elisha Field, Jr., and Ruth Kirkham, his wife; Aaron De Long and Sylvia Brigham, his wife; Timothy Hinckley and Saloma Strong, his wife. Jeremiah Bingham (1748-1841) was at Bennington and served in the commissary in the Burgoyne campaign. He was born in Norwich; died in Cornwall, Vt. Elias De Long served under different commands and as lieutenant of Levies under Col. William Malcolm. Elisha Field (1717-91) commanded a company at the battle of Bennington and had charge of the captured Hessians from the battlefield to the meeting-house. He was born in Sunderland, Mass.; died in Cornwall, Vt. Elisha Field, Jr. (1763-1852), served as private for the defense of the frontier. He was born in Bennington; died in Cornwall, Vt. Daniel Strong (1719-1806) served at New York and was under Gen. John Sullivan at the battle of Rhode Island. He was born and died in Lebanon, Conn. Jared Hinckley was a patriot during the revolution.
