Hello all, I just bought a Sisson family bible on ebay. I am interested in it finding its original family. I will give you the details I have been told and hopefully someone will recognize it. It was found in the attic of an old estate in the Mid-West (likely the Nebraska area). It is a 1872 pocket size New Testament Bible. There are personal photos taped inside the first few blank pages. There is a hand written message dated 1887. Presented to Mattie Sisson by her Grandmother. There is a personal newspaper photo inside the cover showing a family members obituary, titled "Victim Of The Wreck." This victim was a Miss Bessie Vaudemark. Please let me know if you have any info as to where this bible belongs. Thank you, Sara Williams (Richard, George, Thomas, Giles, Samuel M., Samuel, Erastus, Esek, Charles, Vernie Sisson Deschwanden, Betty Deschwanden Hubbs, Gail Hubbs Williams, Heath (my husband)
