This is especially for those Sissons with ties to Robert Townsend Sisson of Fairfax, Va. I recently purchased the 1995 book, Fairfax Station: All Aboard! from the Fairfax Station Railroad Museum. (You can have a copy by sending $29 to Friends of the Fairfax Station, Inc. P.O. Box 7, Fairfax Station, VA 22039. Will send the book upon receipt of your check.) The president of the Friends of Fairfax Station writes, "We have a framed newspaper clipping from the late 1800's in the museum advertising the Sisson Coach service from Fairfax ...." The book is terrific, chuck full of photos and graphics. Sisson references to Robert Townsend Sisson in the Amer. Rev., the family divided during the Civil War, a 1943 Sisson reference, etc., are mentioned on 6 different pages. (info. provided by Wm. Page Johnson II).
