For those of you on the list who sent me this Sisson site http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~dasisson/ and who are interested in the Dye-Sisson line listed below there is a mistake on Fauntleroy Dye b 1742 he didn't die in 1742. Fauntleroy Dye was a son of Avery Dye and Catherine Mackmellion....He died on July 31, 1820 married Anne Kelly (d/o Matthew Kelly and Sarah Edison) and had eight children of which two were my direct ancestors..... my gggg grandmother Martha Patsy Dye md Almond P. Sanders,.......and my gggg grandfather, Martin Hopkins Dye b Dec 2, 1765 md Haney Henson and another son, Avery Dye md Sarah Puckett is the line that President Harry Truman came from. My Fauntleroy Dye b 1742 is buried in Perryville, Mercer Co, KY The cemetery is called the Perryville Cemetery. His daughter Patsy, and son Martin Hopkins Dye are buried there too. There is much documentation on this line and both these lines continue to my grandmother Maude Ann Dye b April 28,1889 died February 19, 1963.........her parents were John Taylor Dye and Louisa Jane Dye.......second cousins....John Taylor Dye was the son of James W. Dye and Mary Jane Allen and Louisa Jane Dye was the daughter of Milton Samuel Dye and Mary K.
