Dear Friends and Cousins, If you have records of New England births, marriages, or deaths, you might consider offering photocopies of the Bible records to the special collections department of the New England Historic Genealogical Society - c/o Tim Hughes at 617-226-1223 or [email protected] or Tim Salls at 617-226-1232 or [email protected] or just send them to Special Collections Department NEHGS 101 Newbury Street Boston, MA 02116 There are several online sites which gladly accept transcriptions of Bible records for births, marriages, and deaths which occurred *anywhere* in the USA, Canada, Europe, or wherever your family resided. For a Google search of Sisson family Bibles, go to http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=sisson+family+bible The Sisson family Bible begun by my great-great-great-grandparents, Elisha and Elizabeth (Chappel) Sisson, appears at http://www.biblerecords.com/sisson.html I typed it up many years ago, and uploaded it to www.biblerecords.com a couple of years ago. Neat, huh? If you have a family Bible with valuable names and birth, marriage, and death dates, I hope you have taken measures to preserve it for your children and to share it with your cousins. May I suggest that you make good readable photocopies of all the family records pages, and the title page of the Bible. The title page is important to help evaluate the date before which any family records could not have been at the time of their occurrence. Offer photocopies to your sons, daughters, and cousins, and to any/all genealogical and historical societies active in the area where any of the births, marriages, or deaths occurred. Best to you and your research. David Arne Sisson
