    3. It is always exciting to see the Sisson name in the news. For what it's worth, I found an article dated May 6, 2007, in the Milwaukee Journal newspaper highlighting a book entitled The American Midwest, authors Richard Sisson, etc. I don't know if he is a subscriber to this list, but the article indicates he is a professor emeritus of political science at Ohio State Univ. The book (encyclopedia) looks like a good read as it cost over $1 million to produce. Laura Sisson-Thompson from the Robert Sisson Virginia line

    3. Hi Laura, I am not sure who this Richard is, but there used to be a Septimus Sisson that was the head of the Vetinary Department at Ohio State. There was a Sisson Hall there named after him. I believe it is still there. I believe he was there around 1930. Septimus was married but had no children that I am aware of. He and and his brother Edward Octavius Sisson came to the states from Durham County England around 1882 I believe. Edward was the first president of Bradley University in Peoria, Illinios. There is a Sisson Hall at Bradley named after Edward. Edward had a son named Calvin Richard Sisson but he died somewhere around 1999 in the state of Washington. Larry L.
