Dear Sirs, I'm at a stand-still, hoping you can get me going again, My great-Grd father, Albert Leroy Sisson Born abt 1-1-1877 in Hornellsville, NY, Married abt 7-4-1901 in PA to Rose Eilenberger, DOD unknown but was 83 y/o when he died (1961), Had a father named James Monroe Sisson born abt 4/1846 in NY and married a Caroline Wixon who was born abt 4/1855. I have found a few James M. Sisson's but the dates are wrong. Please help me find James Monroe and his ancestors as I am the last branch of the tree! Everyone has expired. Everyone has expired. > > Sincerely, Maria Sisson-Tarkington Hi Maria! One possibility could be the "Monroe Sisson", age 4, in the 1850 census in Friendship, Allegany, NY. His parents were William and Sally Sisson. In this 1850 census, this William was 37, his wife Sally was 31, and they were living in the next household to Pardon (age 62) and Sally (60) Sisson. I have always believed that William was the son of Pardon and Sally, but have never been able to prove it by paper documentation. He could have been a nephew of Pardon instead.
