Janice: Thank you! If I am reading the census correctly there was a Giles Sisson, in Otsego Co., in 1800 - age 16 to 26, and a female the same age. Then there was also one male and female 45 (& over?). Probably the parents of one of them. Even if that was a Giles too, that would be getting pretty old for the militia. I believe this is probably Giles the son of John, Sr., who was allegedly 25 years of age, at that time. He was most likely the one named in the Militia document. As Carol said I believe Giles Sisson(4) was probably dead by then, or at least too old for the militia. Thank you ever so much.
