Does anyone on the List know who the following was: Josias Wilcocks, alias Card, son of Jane Card, born July 19, 1766, Portsmouth. (Vital Records of R I) This makes it sound as though Josias was illegitimate. This Jane is definitely not the Jane who md. Thomas Sisson(3), but a later Jane. But she apparently was a Portsmouth Card. I just accidentally found this record as I was searching the Vital Records of Rhode Island. Mary Jo
