Hello I am a member of the Sisson family originally from Temple Sowerby - Penrith area in the UK. My great Grandfather was Joseph Sisson, a farmer and raiser of Clydesdale horses, his wife was Sarah. The book 'My Bolivian Aunt, written by Cecil Beaton is about Jessie Sisson, my grandfathers cousin, who I oddly enough look very similar to!!. From what I have been told since being a child, the name Sisson, was derived from France as they cam over in the times of the Norman Conquest, from Soisson. Anyway, I came across your Sisson page, as I have been doing some research on my family tree, I didnt know there were so many Sisson's out there. Sarah
