Mary's name was given to her as Sisson, but it is arguably not. She wrote in her gift giving to her son, Nicholas, "my brother and sister, Daniel and Jane Sisson/Lisson" and the name has since been hers. But we don't know who was the brother or sister. (7-20-1677) I would presume that Nichols was mentioning her son. It's easy to make mistakes like that, especially if you don't have lots of references to guide you.
