Dear Sisson cousins, I'm sad to share with you news of the passing of my grandmother Carrie Sisson Marx. She was an 11th generation direct descendant of Richard and Mary Sisson (Lloyd Miller, Sanford L., Luther S., Thomas, George, George, George, Richard, George, Richard). She was born Carrie Haverly Sisson to Lloyd M. Sisson and Nellie Lee Haverly on August 22, 1912 in West Berne, NY. Following a brief illness, she passed away at approximately 10:30am on May 2, 2008 at the United Methodist Hilltop nursing home in Johnson City, NY. She lived to the ripe old age of 95 with all 3 of her brothers, her husband and their only daughter predeceasing her. I'll be sure to post her obituary once we have it completed.
