    2. Regehr, Carol
    3. Forwarded from Jamie: -----Original Message----- From: Jamie [mailto:[email protected]] Subject: Possible Sisson Connection? Seeking ancestors and descendants of Thomas B Johnson of Preston County (W)VA. It has been suggested to me that Mary, wife of Thomas, may have been a Sisson as they named one of their daughters Sisson. 1850 Census lists Thomas B Johnson, age 54; wife Mary, age 52; children: Aden, age 18; Sally, age 15; Sisson, age 13; William, age 10 and Thomas, age 7 or 9. I suspect that "Aden" was Adrian and that there were additional children - possibly Richard who would be about 33, Charles who would be about age 20 and maybe others. It appears that by 1860, Thomas B was dead. Sisson married Joseph Pride in 1855 in Preston County, by 1860 was in Dunkard Township, Greene County, PA. Also in Dunkard Twp in 1860 was Richard and Charles and their families, "Adrian" and his family, William with wife and mother; Thomas living with Sisson and Joseph. I have not located Sally. Sisson is said to have had 7 brothers who served in the Civil War, 6 returning, 1 died. I have the record for Adrian Johnson who served in PA Cavalry from Greene County who lists his place of birth as Preston County. Looking for any information on ancestors or descendants of this family. [email protected]

    3. Forwarded from Ed: -----Original Message----- From: Ed Mason [mailto:[email protected]] To: [email protected] Subject: Patricia Marguerite Sisson My uncle was born William Brooks Sisson in Cincinnati in 1896. Sometime later his middle name was changed to Mitchell. He was married three times and died in 1975. His first, very brief, marriage was in 1919 to a Hedwig Laurie Becker ("Hattie") of Hudson, Wisconsin. This is just over Minnesota state line and only 40 or so miles from Minneapolis where my uncle grew up. The marriage produced one child, Patricia Marguerite Sisson, born November 27, 1918 in Hudson. I never heard about this first cousin during the lifetimes of my uncle and his sister, my mother. In about 1990 I discovered Patricia Marguerite Sisson in the family Bible. Later, on a trip to Minneapolis, I drove over to Hudson and obtained a copy of her birth certificate. Additional searching under her maiden name came up empty. The people in Hudson told me that that marriage records look-ups in Wisconsin require the name of the groom. That has put my efforts on hold. Does anyone have a clue as to this person's whereabouts or suggestions on how to proceed with additional research? Ed Mason

    3. Please rest assured that David and I as DNA project administrators are in complete agreement. The releases our participants signed were between them and FTDNA, so that FTDNA could release matches from their database and potential family members could contact each other. We have some members who did not sign the release. We have to respect their wishes too. If someone takes the test through Jeff's new DNA group and matches one or many of our participants, the results will be reported directly from FTDNA. We have been notified of many 12/12 matches from outside of our Sisson Group. It is not David's or my job to provide anyone else with names or numbers for any of our participants. We take that privacy issue very seriously, and I can't think of any good reason to change it.
