    3. Hi Carol, Janice found a William F. Sissen (William F Sisson) who was a Private in the Civil War. He served in the Confederacy. Regiment name: 14 Mississippi Infantry, 14th Regiment, Mississippi Infantry. Comany F. Film number: M232 roll 37. The regiment originated in Missippi, but there is nothing to indicate this is the place of birth of William F. Sissen/Sisson. I would like to know more about this person. I have spent this week looking for him in the census records. I didn't find him in Mississippi in the 1870 census. There are many William Sisson names. I have looked at most of the different ways to spell the name. My grandfather, Nathaniel B. Sisson is in the 1900 AR Census. Born Sept 16, 1868, Romance, White, AR, died Aug 11,1904, Pangburn, White, AR. This is the only census I have found with his name listed. The father of Nathaniel is listed to be from Mississippi , the mother from AL. This again could be that there was never a change of residence, because Al used to be a part of MS. I'm hoping someone reading this has Willam F. Sisson in some of their records. Thanks Elizabeth

    1. [SISSON] Edward allan Sisson
    2. larry sisson
    3. I looked for just a few minutes on Ancestry.com to see what I could find on this family. Edward Allan Sisson is listed on page 699 in the Sisson Book. His father George Hamilton Sisson is on page 585. Edward's grandfather Allan or Allen Sisson is on page 417. It appears that the male line on this family has died out if Edward's brother Charles Hamilton Sisson had no issue as the Sisson Book suggest. I will look and see if I can find anything on him and report it if I do. Here is what I found in the census records: 1850 Census Mishawaka, St. Joseph Co., Indiana Sissin, Allen 49 clerk NY Nancy L.29 NY George H. 6 Mi. Boultonhouse, William NY This should be Nancy's brother.
