Hi all, I have a part of a copy from John Lowry"s Day Book. And Gurss what I found? My GGGrandfathers name. POWELL SINKS, and a couple of other SINKS family members names. "In 1847 reads. This book were a present to John LOWRY in the year of 1847 and the month of July, 20th Day. It also reads: Jeremiah MORGAN left home for Mexico 1848. Names mentioned in 1847 were; David LOWRY, Thomas COCKRAN, William WILLBANKS, Wilkson DIXON, Elizabeth LOWRY, George TALOR, David SIMES, Rawlings BOYLE, James McRONNELS, Alexander LOWRY, William BRADFORD, Daniel TOLLEY, Joseph THARP, Powell SINKS, Silvi SINKS, Jerry PIERCE, Henderson CEMBEL, Williiam A. CANEL, Zachariah SINKS, William CANNON, George CRISEL, Carter WILKEY, Abel ALLEN. The SINKS names are mentioned again in 1849, 1850,1851,1852, then not again till 1856, 1857. Silva SINKS and Zachariah SINKS were in the 1850 Jefferson Co. Census. Also according tho this little bit of information. 4 of John and Nancy Lowry children married into the SINKS family." There are More names mentioned.But I am interested in the Sinks Line. I somehow beleve that Zachariah,Silvi and Powell are related. But not too sure of how. This information was Submitted By the Illinois State Genealogical Socielt Quarterly Summer of 1977. And I am having a hard time trying to locate the Submitter.
