I have a Provost Marshal record some of you may enjoy reading. The "Island #2" is helpful, possibly, in that there are numbered islands here near the confluence of the MS and MO Rivers. Someone ratted out Mr. Sinks as being a secessionist...and that is the focus of the research...If you want to email me at pcwink@yahoo.com and I will be glad to share this. There also is a Sinks Road in this area, but I believe it is named after the many sinkholes and not the family.
