Dear JoAnne, Thanks for the reply. I am a descendent of Peter SINKS who married Susannah BECKNER, Franklin County, Virginia, 1816. I think , but have not proved, that he is the son of Paul-Powell SINK-ZINK of North Carolina and Pittsylvania County. Virginia. I think this is the same Powell SINK who died in Dickson County, Tennessee, 1826. Powell SINKS had a son named Zachariah. Peter also had a son named Zachariah. Peter also had a son named Jesse. Peter SINKS died Oct. 20, Hamilton County, Illinois. His son Zachariah died in Missouri. Peter SINKS daughter, Susan SINKS [My GGGrandmother] was married 3 times. Her first husband was Jesse SINKS [cousin?] He was listed on the 1850 Jefferson Co. Illinois Census as being born in Tennessee. Her 2nd husband was Johnson B. HILLMAN, married April 13, 1854, Hamilton County, Illinois.[This was my GGGrandfather. I would appreciate any records you could send on this family.
