On several trips to the Virginia State Archives in Richmond, VA, my husband and I went through numerous (original) personal property tax books for Franklin Co VA and recorded all Sink listings. There were two books for each tax year - a "Book A" and a "Book B". We checked both books and never found a listing for Sink in the Book A's. A Box which contained books for 1786-1794, yielded the following results. After each name is a series of five numbers, followed by three numbers.
