I am a descendant of Dola (Dollie) Burkhart who married a Mr. Sinks and according to her brother's obtituary, she was living in St. Louis when he died . I understand that she had some children and was probably married more than once, so I don't really know is she had any children by her Sinks husband. Charlotte G. Boykin

    3. Dollie Sinks was born in 1880 and her maiden name was Dola Burkhart. She married a Mr. Sinks. She was alive in 1941 because she was listed in the obituary for her brother Lee Burkhart who had died in Searcy Co. ARK in 1941. Would like to correspond with any descendants of Dollie Sinks. I am a descendant of Lee Burkhart. Will be glad to share what family information that I have. Charlotte G. Boykin

    3. Quilting is woman's way of preserving history. It may be from fabrics made from left over scrapes of the entire family in a simple design or sometimes in a very complex design. All beautiful, all sewn with love and like photos preserve a little about ourselves. I have collected quilts for years. I have found a place where those old time traditions are not forgotten. If you like quilts you should visit www.masterpiecequilts.com Thanks, Granny of 3 ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com

    2. Hi all, I was just going through some old papers that were sent to me by a good friend. I should say a very good friend. In it was some old letters from a couple of ladies looking and searching the Sinks family lines. And I was wondering if any out there has Sinks information that they would like to share with me. I am not going to give first names at this time because, there are so many SINKS' out there and I know that some of these folks have to be related in some strange way. If you have information or anything you would like to share please E-Mail me personally and I will see if we can match somehow. Thanks A Whole Bunch Maureen (Sinks) Lenzo

    3. Thank you very much for sharing your very informative Sinks/Zincke/etc information with all of us. You can be sure I will be saving a copy of it. I was told I had French roots through my paternal grandmother, Ella Sinks. She was the daughter of James Sinks and Sarah Bagget and as neither one sounds particular French to me, I have always wondered which line made me a teeny tiny bit French. And now thanks to you I can eliminate the Sinks line. Thank you again for sharing with us. Jo
