The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sykes Funeral Home with Brother Jody Kilburn officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sykes Funeral Home. Sykes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born May 1, 1954 in Mass. to the late Robert Allen Blunk, Sr. and Effie Ada Kearney Blunk. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, John Archer Blunk. She was a homemaker. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Jim D. Simpkins, Sr., sons; Jim D. (Rebecca) Simpkins, Jr. of Fuquay Varina, N.C., Jason Riley (Sandra) Simpkins of Clarksville, Allen Lee Simpkins of Woodlawn, brothers; Robert Allen Blunk, Jr., Donald Wayne Blunk of Dover, sisters; Debbie A. Main of Springfield, Dorothy Kay Leach of Woodlawn and 10 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 2000 Charlotte Ave. Nashville, 37203.
