I took a look on wvculture.org. There is a birth record for an Elliott Simpkins b. 7 May 1900, Williamson, Mingo, WV, to Jack and Jennie Simpkins. Also, another record shows Jack Simpkins married Jennie Maynard in 1898 in Mingo, WV. He may have had a sister Pearl. This isn't my family, but perhaps someone is familiar with one of these other people? Other then his death info, I cant find much info on him or even to determine exactly who he is. I would like to honor him on a new website I'm creating that is dedicated to honoring my grandpa's service in WW2 and all of the men of his battalion the 43th Signal Heavy Construction Battalion Aviation 1942-1945 and I would like to at least have a picture of him on there if nothing else.
