Could there possibly be any Tennessee connection with your Simpkins? The earliest I have is Thomas Simpkins b probably mid 1700s NC, was in TN late 1790s, son Orman Allen m. Nancy Reaves, daughter of Rev sol Daniel Reaves. I have considerable information on this family. I believe Thomas had a brother in NC but just can't prove it.
