His mother brought him over and the other chldren were in an orphange. Cameron, his father tried to bring them across also when he got older and they wouldn't allow him to take them. Jessie resided on a farm in Evans Mills, N.Y. as a house keeper until her death. I sure wish they had been more forth coming about family information. Cameron was a very hard worker; worked his way up from janitor to service man for New York Telephone company. I will try to find out more about their venture to New York from their oldest brother, John Francis who is visiting in North Carolina for xmas. John is 78 and must remember things that the younger ones don't. They lost two son; Gerald who had a large roll of cable crush him when he worked for the New York Telephone company. He lingered quite a while before dying and Joseph who died while in the Navy. He was stationed in Alaska and was instructing a younger sailor how to maneuver a tractor trailer when it jacknifed and borke his neck. Very sad to lose children of any age! John will be home after the holidays. I will pick his brain then. His memory is good at times but other times a bit fuzzy.
