My Great-Grandfather was Earl T. Simpkins or Thomas Earl Dayton Simpkins or Richard Earl Thomas Simpkins. I not really sure which one is which. He was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas. His parents moved to Marktree, Arkansas and were bared there, too. I found a message on the message board for the simpkins that I think answers my question about his parents name. His father name was Richard Simpkins (he went by Tom) he pasted away in a work trip to Tennessee in 1921 were they shipped his body back to Marktree, Arkansas. His mother was Ruth Simpkins I think her madeen last name was McBride she pasted away in 1918. They I know 6 kids. The youngs went to an orphanage and there were two older kids that were on their own (also got from the message board). I could not find any information on them in the census but the lady on the message board had luck in 1920 but that is it. If you can help please ! e-mail me at tlmlesley@aol.com.
