He married Ella Rebecca Fauver who was born and raised in Bridgeton,N.J. Lewis was born in Pemberton N,J. Since there were no cars at that time how did they meet? I feel sure there is a connection with the Simpkins family from Burlington County and Salem/Cumberland co.N.J. May Jane and James had 5 boys that I know about maybe there is a connection that way. Or possibly James Simpkins and his siblings. I believe his father may have been Aaron Simpkins m Elizabeth? and maybe Aaron's father was David Simpkins but I don't have proof of that. 2. Tallygators
    3. I have been searching for my Simpkins family since the late 1960s. I am stuck with two brothers who are in North Carolina in the later part of the 1700s - in different counties. My ancestor is Thomas Simpkins born mid 1700s who married twice. Thomas was in Wake County, NC where his son Orman Allen Simpkins was born about 1794 to wife Frances Allen. Around 1800 (give or take a couple of years) Thomas with son Orman and brother Joseph went to Davidson County, TN. Try as I might, I cannot get them "back to the boat". Though I am fully aware that the way to correctly do family reseach is to start with the latest ancestor and prove backward. However, at 86 I feel I only have 20 or so more years left to research so if any of you Simpkins descendants in England have found where a Thomas and Joseph emigrated to America, please let me know. I will happily follow any lead. Contact me at Tallygators@earthlink.net. Thanks.
