According to census information, she was born about 1803 in Pennsylvania. Her father was born in New Jersey and her mother in Germany. She married, about 1824, Jacob Miller. The family seems to have lived at least in 1840 and 1850 in Clarion County, Pennsylvania. By 1854, they were in Green County, Wisconsin. Sometime prior to 1880, Nancy moved with her daughter, Mary Jane Miller Daughenbaugh to Buchanan County, IA, where she died. She is buried in Bear Creek Cemetery, but no death date is given. Does any of this information ring a bell? I know there is a Simpkins family headed by a man named Ananias who seems to fit the same pattern. Did he have any brothers who could be Nancy's dad? A daughter, HAZEL MARY (unsure of which parent's last name was given her ), was born to this couple on May 12,1894 in VA. Floyd "Waugaman" had relatives living in the Saltsburg area of Indiana County, PA. in the 1880's. Floyd was born in Delmont, Westmoreland County, PA. Floyd was the grandson of Uriah Waugaman, and the son of Mattie Waugaman Taylor. His father is unknown at this time. FRANCES SIMPKINS was supposedly also born in PA., probably in the 1870's. Does anyone have information on this FRANCES SIMPKINS and/or FLOYD WAUGAMAN ? Seeking marriage location, death dates and location, etc. Any help will be appreciated.
