Dear Mr. Schiffermuller: I read your e-mail and do not know if I have any connection with your family of Shuman's but I was heart broken to read of your mother-in-law and how depressed she is over the death of her sister. I'm not that old but do know how sad and lonely it is to see family members leaving us one by one. But, assure her that very near to her as close as (Crystal River Fl) is a descendant of a Catherine Shuman Haught. My grandfather's who died in Plant City, Florida grandmother was Catherine Shuman. This line so far originates out of WVA and PA. So as I said although our last names may be different now we still have Shuman blood and teachings in our heart and God Bless Her.
