Cousins, >From another List, I received notice that Ancestry.com is offering a free German ancestry search from October 6th to the 13th. I checked it out, and found the site very slow; in fact, the wait was so long, that I quit after several minutes of inactivity on the screen! Probably everyone else is trying to take advantage of the free offer, too! It does appear to be an excellent opportunity to dig a little further for our roots. The address is http://www.ancestry.com/ancestry/search/german.htm. Just don't get confused with the "non-free" offerings which are usually on the same pages, and which DO load quickly <g>! Regards!
