Here's what Carolyn has: John Joseph B. Shuman was son of Joseph M. Shuman, g'son of Martin Shuman, gg'son of Martin Shuman, just as you have it. JJB married Susanna Phillips (he was born 1822 in SC and died before 1883). They had the following children: Joseph D. Harriett Elizabeth...who married Rev. Henry Thomas Crapse (they had 9 children) and HIS parents were Nathaniel Crapse/Elizabeth Jane Shuman(dau of Martin Shuman, above) Ann Mary Isabella Anne Tolbert V. 1869-1873 Susan Salina John S. Agnes J. Mary Ann 1869-1873 I'd guess this LAST "Mary Ann" is YOUR great grandmother (with incorrect DOD). If Mary Adeline was a young widow, in 1905, with 8 children, they would have been born over 1889-1905 period and Mary Adeline would have been born about 1868-1869. The "Ann Mary" listed probably died young, and they "reused" the name (a very common practice back then). Hope this helps you.
