I think I am confused on how to send a message. Here it goes, My great grandmother was Mary Adeline Shuman Crappse, she was married to Jacob S. Crappse who was shot and killed by his cousin Jessie Crapps in 1905 leaving her with 8 young children. That is how my grandfather and his brothers ended up in New Jersey. Mary Adeline Shuman was the daughter of Joseph (JJB) Shuman, son of Joseph Shuman, son of Martin Shuman, son of Martin Shuman. Looks like she was the youngest sister of Joseph D. Shuman, she had 3 older married sisters, Harriet, Isabell and Salina, and a younger brother Talvert. She was about 15 yrs old when her father died.
