SHUMAN, 60, died Sunday morning at the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Shuman, south of Quaker City, in Beaver township, following a heart attack which he suffered four weeks ago. A son of Calvin and Mary Douglas Shuman, he was born and reared in the Beaver community and was a member of the Masonic lodge at Quaker City. Surviving are a son, Rolland, of Big Rapids, Michigan; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Clemons of New London; three brothers, Lawrence of Mayfield Heights, Harry of New London and Alva, of near Quaker City. The body was removed to the Eberle funeral home in Quaker City and prepared for burial. Services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the funeral home with Rev. Erdis Kollar, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Interment was made in Friends cemetery. (May 1, 1950)
