Pauline-- Thanks for the info re: Jacob Shuman. I suspect this may be the family I am looking for. However, the only specific dates I have are for the wedding of Catherine in Springfield Twsp., Hamilton Co. OH on July 2, 1814. she married Daniel Whitaker who is my ggggrandfather. Two sources have verified this. However, one source has Jacob, b. November 11, 1778 in Botetourt, as her father. I doubt this as the only info on Catherine I have found indicates she may have been b. 1792. These dates don't "quite" fit with your dates, but I think offer some direction for me to go. Also, at some point my Shuman family was, probably, in PA. Thank you, again for the info. Beverly
