Hi Kristin. There are a number of Shockeys living in New Jersey that could possibly give you a lot of first-hand information. I don't have their phone numbers, but I do have their addresses. There is a George Shockey in Northfield, NJ, who has attended our reunions and I traced his line for him several years ago. There is an Anna Shockey in Atlantic City, David Shockey in Moorestown, Robert Shockey in Ocean City, Wayne Richard Shockey in Hammonton and Willard Shockey in Ventnor City. I am sure that someone in that list is most likely closely related to the folks you are looking for and would be most helpful if they were asked.
