I just found out some more information. Anna G. Shockey (b. 1907, d. 1993) couldn't possibly be Harry Paul's mother, due to the year that she was born. That makes her too young. My Grandfather remembered her name, so she has to be related in some way. I also found out that Harry Paul wouldn't have passed away before 1974 because there was a letter found written by him dated that year. Names also familiar to my Grandfather are: Willard Shockey (b. 1904, d. 1963) last res. in Atlantic City, NJ; R. C. Shockey (b. 1897, d. 1979) last res. in Hammonton, NJ; Elsie Shockey (b. 1899, d. 1983) last res. in Hammonton, NJ; Grace Shockey (b. 1875, d. 1973) last res. Northfield, NJ; Jessie Shockey (b. 1901, d. 1974) last res. Trenton, NJ. While flipping through "The Shockey Family Heritage Book" by Beatrice Bayley, he jotted his memory back to when he was a little boy. It's pretty hard for my 80 year old Grandfather to remember that far back. So we are not certain how these people are related. Please let me know if anybody has information on any of these people. It would be greatly appreciated just to know if there are other people who have Shockey relatives from New Jersey, because I am starting to think that we are it. In the 1920 census I found a Robert C Shockey listed as 22 years old, born in West Virginia and living in Atlantic County, New Jersey. He worked as a linesman for the power company. His wife is listed as Elsie, age 20 and she was born in PA. Since the 1920 census used January 1 as the date for age questions, Robert C would have been born in 1897 and Elsie in 1899. I was not successful in find a probable match in searching for Harry, Paul or Willard in 1920. Les
