Robert, I had talked with you a long time ago about your SHOCKEY line. I don't have the information you requested but I did look your father up in the Washington State birth index on Ancestry.com, which I have a subscription to. On that index it says that Stanley's fathers name was HENRY C. Shockey. Maybe his first name was HENRY and his middle name Christopher? The information on-line is below. This a pay site not a free site. I did a search on Stanley Shockey and found a Stanley M. Shockey and a Raymond S. Shockey on the 1930 census for Denver, Colorado. They are listed next to each other as Lodgers in a rooming house. They both list their place of birth as Washington and that both their parents were born in Michigan. Raymond is two years older than Stanley. They both list their occupation as Lineman for a Public Service Co. If you would like a copy of the census, send your address and I will mail it to you. Reid, I also found HENRY, STANLEY, RAYMOND and DALE SHOCKEY in Phoenix, AZ in the 1920 census. Nellie was not with them. The boys were 14, 12 and 8 years old. Raymond, Stanley (listed on 1920 census as born in Oregon) and Dale (listed as born in California). HENRY has his place of birth as Michigan along with both of his parents. His occupation is listed as a pipe fitter for the Gas Company. It also says that Henry was Widowed in this census. Maybe Les, could check his database for a Henry C. SHOCKEY born it Michigan whose parents are also listed as being born in Michigan in the 1920 census? I will see if I can find anything else on line for you. I cannot find a Henry Shockey in the database that would appear to match. In fact the earliest births for any Shockey that I show in MI occurs in the mid 1950s. I am sure that there are many that were born in MI before this date, we just have not had the data submitted to us for the database. On Ancestry.com I did find one Henry Shockey in the SSDI records with the correct age but he sure seemed to move around a great deal. I did not find this Henry in the database either.
