Shockley Jr. WEATHERFORD — George Franklin Shockley Jr., 41, of Weatherford, a construction worker, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2005, in Dallas. He was born June 9, 1964, in Cummings, Ga., to George Franklin and Betty Jean (Summers) Shockley Sr. On March 22, 2003, he married Sheryl Ann Smiley in Denton. He was a member of Stoney United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, in the chapel of Goen-Hudgens Funeral Home in Denton. The Rev. Gene Bixler will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife of Weatherford; one son, George Franklin Shockley III of Weatherford; one brother, Ernest Shockley of Krum; and four sisters, Patricia Jean Tollerson of Cottondale, Kathy Ruth Collinsworth of Sanger, Wanda Ann Long of Cottondale and Angela Diann Eversole of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.
