Minnie Mary her husband died Zack Palmer out in Colorado ,but Minnie remarried (i will have to look that up on who it was) But she was buried with Zach Palmer ,will need to look at my records at location. Now my great grandmother was Luncinda Jane Fulk she married Ruban Fulk either in Elk co.Ks. or Chataq.Co. There Children was Vaits Forrest Fulk ---married Bertha Gorham,both killed in car accident in 1949 while on vacation out in Sterling Colorado but both are buried in Highland cem. here in Winfield,Ks and Lucinda Jane Fulk is buried right next to them. (note her and Ruban divorced and he remarried a Baird. His burial is Elk,Falls Ks. Winnie was Ruban and Luncinda's daughter and she married Nard Dixon. They are also buried at Highland Cem her in Winfield. Her child is Norma Miller :still living Vaits Fulk's Children is Dortha Zane ,Ahlerich,Galbreath Dortha has three son's Milton Ahlerich Donald Ahlerich Stanley Ray Ruth Arletta,Shultz,Brents : deceased one daughter Joyce Shultz, My line Vaits Forrest Fulk Jr. :married Doloris Golightley--Four children: Linda Jane Jones (named after Luncinda) Marilyn Fulk :never married Vaits Forrest Fulk III Brenda Ann Fisk

I am Evelyn Shockey Simon in the Azle, TX , Fort Worth area.. I noticed you made mention of a Mr. Howard from Harper County, Kansas. My grandparents lived at Harper and my grandmother was Cora Belle Murphy and married Charles Reeves, but she had a sister, Emma Howard, who passed away in Wichita. There is a deed transcribed in the Shockey Family History and Genealogy book, showing signatures for a Jane and Abraham Schockey. It has also been speculated that Isaac's son Abraham may have had two wives. We do not know how Jane was related to this family. The Shockey Chronicles shows another child as Hannah. I do not know anything about her. According to these books, Isaac Sr. did move to Mason County, KY with Abraham and Isaac. Isaac also appeared in Harrisonburg, VA tax list and an Eve Shockey m. a Gosham there. Later a Gassom signed a deed in Mason County, KY so it looks as though Isaac moved west with Abraham, Isaac Jr and probably his dau Eve. A picture was also circulated that showed Abraham in indian garb which seems to substantiate the family myth that as a young child, he was raised by and indian woman. John b. 1775; Henry b. 1779; Mary b. 1782; Daniel b. 1785 appear to have stayed in VA with Rosanna.

I was just cleaning up my e-mail when I came across your note. It is interesting! Our family moved to Oregon in 1945. Later my mother and father divorced and my dad moved to Portland where he was the only Shockey listed in the Portland phone book. My mother was the only Shockey listed in the Sandy Phone book. I never knew of any other Shockey's outside of my immediate family until my dad gave me the two volumes of the Shockey geneology by Marie and her husband. Do you have other info on Louiza-as spelled in the marriage record and George and their children? Where did they live in Oklahoma? My Granny Pool often mentioned having relatives living at Tisamingo in Oklhoma. I was born in Sherman, Grayson Co, Texas. George Shockey is listed in the 1870 and 1880 Tarrant Co, Texas census. A different George Shockey (the son of Elizabeth Shockey and probably a cousin who was born in Kentucky and in the 1850 census with his mom who will wed a Casber)is mentioned in the 1876 directory in Sherman, Texas as a marketman. our George's brother John is also in the Tarrent Co, Texas census of 1870 and then in Parker Co, Texas in 1880.
