My husband's family is descended from him. He was born 1 Sep 1880 in Springfield, Greene, Missouri OR Jefferson City, Cole, Missouri (cannot document this yet). He died 7 May 1967 in Albuquerque, Bernalillo, New Mexico. He was buried 13 May 1967. His first wife was Eveline (Evelyn) Gidney. They were married 5 Feb 1908 in Sedan, Chautauqua, Kansas. I have a delayed birth certificate of his daughter, Hazel Shockey (through whom we are descended) and it lists his name and birthplace as Missouri. He had 8 children, then left his family and never returned. He was married to someone named "Anna" before he died. I show that Cris Cristy was born 18 Dec 1877 in Collins, St. Clair, Missouri and died in 1923. I have no other documents on that.

Children of this union were Lottie F. Armstrong and Nora Augusta Armstrong. Mahala and W.S. Armstrong later moved to Noble Co. Oklahoma where Mahala died in 1929. As previously mentioned, Rosina marries James Lawson 3 Aug 1875 in Logan Co. Illinois. William Shockey, son of W. W. Shockey of this city, was found last night in an unconscious condition beside the Wabash tracks at Bement. He went to Danville severl days ago to do some work. Shockey was brought to Decatur and taken to his home, No. 1327 North Clinton street and Dr. E A Morgan called to attend him. Dr. Parish, the Wabash surgeon, was called in consultation. Shockey has been unconscious since this accident and his condition is regarded as serious. It is not known how the accident happened and the Wabash officials are investigating the case. Mr Shockey is 30 years old, has a wife and four children and is a man of good habits. >From Decatur newspaper Jan. 7 1899 Shockey’s Condition. This afternoon William Shockey was slightly improved. He is at times rational, but although he talks about other matters it is impossible for him to tell anything about his accident.
