    1. Re: [SHIVER] Shiver Family Questions??
    2. Gail Moore
    3. Hello Guys: Help I need information held in the Library in Camillo, GA is this where you guys are talking about?? If so ok here goes. My Cousin thru my real Father is a Shiver his Father was John H. Shiver and his Mother was my Aunt Bessie Cothran. They married long ago in Turner County, GA. Ok now my Cousins were best friends with my later on down the road Step-Father. He was Nathan Wesley Newton son of James Wesley Newton and Mary Elizabeth Davis of Colquitt County, GA and then later on Worth County, GA. James Wesley Newton was the son of Daniel Jeptha Newton of the Civil War with the Taylor Guards out of Taylor County, Ga where he lived at the time. My Newton's connect to the Barfields of Camilla GA. Mary Elizabeth Davis was the daughter of Joshua Davis and Mary A. Emma Kilcrease of Camilla GA. Joshua Davis and Mary gave land for the cemetery where they lay burried. It is in an old Church yard going from OK now on this I am a bit shaky but If you go to Meigs which is just South of Pelham and then cut over to New Hwy 19 and go accross to Cario, GA and out of Cario take the road to Sylvester going West and keep on that main road Dad use to say they called that Hwy 80 or GA St. Rd. 80 I think. This takes you to another town outside of Sylvester, GA going West. Anyway out from Sylvester is a bridge and at this bridge on the East side was at one time a dirt road that went way back in there to a church. That is the land once owned by Joshua Davis and Mary A. Emma Kilcrease and they are both burried there up next to the church. Her marker is now gone however as she has been dead such a long time. Anyway. My Newtons connect over and over to Barfield and my Davis's to Kilcrease. Then my Cothrans to Shiver's. And they were all close friends back in GA. Can anyone out there help me with this?? I seek to find out who Johns H. Shiver's Father and Mother were. And also who Jousha Davis belonged to and to place these people back in Camilla, GA early on.
