Does anyone have a record that shows the names of the children of Elijah and Nancy Shiver. Elijah and Nancy are my ggggrandparents. Their daughter Amelia married my gggrandaddy Joshua Lee. They were all living in Dale County in the mid 1800's. I wasn't sure that Amelia was a Shiver until one of Joshua's ggrandson's found a scrap of paper that his mother had written years ago. She had written on it that Joshua Lee married a Shiver. She also wrote that Joshua died of pneumonia in Virginia in1864. On the 1870 Dale County Census Nancy Shiver is living with Amelia Lee and her children. It lists Amelia and some of the children and then for some reason it lists the rest of the children and Nancy Shiver many pages on down the census. It kept the same house number though. I am really trying to prove that the Jane married to Uriah Bracewell is Amelia's sister. On the 1860 Dale Census Elijah and Nancy are living with Uriah and Jane. Jane also had a son named Elijah.
