Lyrice - Jimmy shared with me the information he received about Elijah being a son of Jacob, but the only Elijah we have record of his father at this point is Elijah, son of Daniel. I don't know how Ruth came to that conclusion, as I have never seen her work. Does she include sources? Elijah is specifically mentioned in Abraham's will, as are Daniel's children Louisa and Mentena (Leweezer and Mentney). From what he sent me, he had several other children as children of Elijah's, but I cannot prove any of them, as I have not seen any data on them (besides Jane (Bracewell) and Amanda (Lee)). Somewhere else (was it in your e-mail Jimmy?) I saw a maiden name of ONASON for Nancy, wife of Elijah, but I'm not certain where that came from either. And I guess I'm confused about who you are asking about. As far as I know, the Jacob you are talking about (son of Abraham, and brother to Daniel) was married to (1) Susan BURCH and (2) Mary DEES. No one has claimed a marriage to Elsy DUPREE. And the Jacob I have listed as the son of Jacob (son of J&H) is married to Sara Ann SWILLEY (though this is speculation; please see this web page on my site: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/Shiver_files/2jacobjr.html, as it lays out the case for the two Jacobs born in 1789). So, I guess I'm no help, as I have never heard of a Jacob married to a Nancy or an Elsy DUPREE (please don't interpret this to mean that I don't believe you however, I just don't have any information like that in my files).
