Jim (and the LIST!): Strange how these names keep popping up. Your first reference below - author Erma BAGGETT - really leaped out at me. Abner's son, William Riley, had a daughter, Jeanette Anna who married Homer Colesta BAGGETT. Same family? Gotta be! I'm going to try and get together with Trudy GREEN and Midge STONE (maiden name: GILBERT,daus of Lilla (GILBERT) SHIVER>dau of Marion SHIVER> son of Abner B. SHIVER) and Jennie (JONES) LERCH, (dau of Leon JONES>son of Elmedia (SHIVER) JONES>dau of Marion SHIVER, etc) for a research trip sometime in March. We were looking for destinations. I think the Troy Public Library just made the list. (We're also planning on hitting the Creek Indian College in S.W. Georgia [for some data on the elusive William R. King], and the Huxford Library at Homerville.) To all the LIST: My best wishes for a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY and FRUITFUL NEW YEAR. May the coming new millennium knock down all those "brick walls"; may lost records be miraculously recovered (and hand delivered personally to YOU), and may we finally link all these SHIVER'S together!
