Albany, Ga. Albany Herald Friday, Apr 26, 2000 Ellis Monroe Shiver Manager, veteran Jamesville, NC. Ellis Monroe "Bo" Shiver , 71, of 1169 St. Andrews St., Jamesville, died Thursday at Martin General Hospital. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Biggs Funeral Home in Williamston with burial in Jamesville Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The Rev. Ken Davenport will officiate. A native of Poulan, Mr. Shiver was a manager at Coats and Clark. He served as mayor and town commissioner of Jamesville for several years and was a veteran of Korean War. He was past commander of VFW No. 4825 in Sylvester, a member of Jamesville Methodist Church, a charter member of Jamesville Rescue Squad and past master of Worth Masonic Lodge No. 194 in Sylvester. Survivors include his wife, Norma Tidwell Shiver; a son, James Shiver, of Washington, NC.; two daughters, Kassie Modlin and Jo Anna Gurganus, both of Jamesville; two sisters, Peggy Ford of Sylvester and Evelyn Autry of Meigs; and four grandchildren.
