His daughter, Annie Frances Shiver Pitts Tucker Williamson was my great grandmother. Annie married john Melvin Pitts who died at 29 years of age. They had 2 daughters. Susie Lee Pitts Burch Durant (my grandmother) and Nell Pitts Richardson. My grandma married Aaron Chester Burch and had 2 sons, George Edward Burch(my father) and Roy Eugene Burch. I have been working on this family for about a year now and finally made a break through a few months ago. My grandma is a great help but she is 78 years old and doesn't remember all she would like to. I spoke with Lyrice back in June and I went to Cool Springs Cemetery in July on vacation. While I was there I took several photos of grave stones. By the way there are a lot of Shivers there. I have one photo of a slab that was broke quite a bit and it said - SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF Didamirah Shiver Born: May 1816 Died: August 1931 - GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN How was this Didamirah kin to Enoch's Dedemiah? I have photos of D B Ireland and W D Ireland. Are they related to Frances "Fannie" Roxann Shiver(James Manning Shiver's wife)? If so, how? Also, so you have any info on John Melvin Pitts, his parents were Melvin "Cudge" john Pitts and Mary Steadman. I am looking for their ancestors. My grandma tells me that James Manning's son Charlie Ross Shiver married a "Josie". My grandma remembers her. Grandma says she was John Melvin Pitts's sister. I see that she is listed as Josie Clark. Josie's mother is a Steadman. could it be that Josie's mother and John Melvin's mother were sisters and Cudge and Mary Pitts raised her??? If you have any info on this let me know.
