I believe that the mystery of who A. B. Shiver, buried in Baptist Church Cemetery, Victoria, Dale County, Alabama, is has been solved. Kenny Shivers(yes, it's spelled with a "s") was at the cemetery this past weekend, and reports that the DOB is 1815, DOD is 1887, and buried next to him is Menda Shiver. That pretty well points to Abraham Shiver(even though D.E. Cain says he is buried at Ariron). Kenny says that there is also a grave for Nicholas Shiver there, and he will send me the information on that gravestone. My thanks to all of you who have responded to my query. Bill Cassady
