Jim et al - I wonder if this could possibly be one of the "unknown" sons of Abraham? We have at least two sons without names in the database. One Mr. Shiver was born abt. 1788, the other about 1789 (these are guesstimates from very early census records). These young men would have been old enough to fight in the War of 1812 and given that they were so young (early 20s), it's likely that they had not married yet, and therefore perhaps his father handled his estate? I'm guessing here, but it would make sense. If he died without issue, that might explain why we don't know the names of those boys. (I actually have 3 unknown sons of Abraham in my database, so I'm interested in who the other 2 are as well...) Anyway, does anyone else have any ideas on this?
