Hi, I am new to the genealogy world, and the computer world. My Florida family must be a missing link. My great grandfather was James A shiver, I just found generation 1 on the web, how wonderful! We have aleast 6 or 7 generations throughout the state of Florida. In May the Pompano Beach historical society dedicated a monument to the founders of Pompano Beach Fl. There were three Shivers on it: My grandfather Albert Jefferson Shiver & his brothers Nat Shiver & Jot Shiver. This line flows from Hamilton County Florida to Pompano Beach Florida.
