Have just joined this list after coming across the SHERWOOD Newsletter and reading message 053 from Mrs. Mary SHERWOOD. I have a connection through marriage to George SHERWOOD 1741-1813 Skeffling who married Ann SAWYER. Their son, also George Henry, married Margaret BELL, and their daughter Margaret Bell SHERWOOD married Edward John Bellenden CLARKE in 1840 (my connection). I believe George snr. is a brother to Thomas (1751 Skeffling ) who married Elizabeth ROSE> son Thomas > John 1810> Christopher 1844 Hollym. I would love to hear from any one connected to this family who may be able to assist me sorting out the siblings of the earlier generations and am happy to share any information I have.
