Perhaps it was maybe a handwritten collection of stuff, written by a grandma or someone? Would surely be interested if you get any positive responses. The book I'd like to find is 'History of the War of 1812,' specifically (and only) the copy that apparently Rebecca (Garner) Sherwood was writing info in. That's where Martin V.B. said his birthdate was written when he was applying for his Civil War pension.
