The RootsWeb Message Boards for SHERWOOD can be accessed at the following website: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=rw&p=Surnames.Sherwood and queries or data can be read without doing anything further. These boards still have bugs which are being addressed by programmers; therefore, don't become distraught over a feature which does not appear to work. Please contact me on any feature which does not work and I'll notify the Board Staff. The search feature may not be fully operational, yet. To post a query or data on the board, you must become an "Ancestry Registered User" which requires establishing a username and password. This Ancestry feature will pop-up when you click on "Post A New Message" while on any RootsWeb Message Board and then click on "Sign Up Now!" following the instructions. Becoming an "Ancestry Registered User" does not cost a dime... not even a nickel... it is FREE. Anyone already having an Ancestry username and password can "Login" on the same pop-up page. To save you some frustration in establishing a username, I suggest you select your surname followed by the last four digits of your telephone number which will be easy to remember. For a simple password easy to remember, I suggest you consider a pet's name or nickname followed by one or more numbers. Now, if you wish to access any of Ancestry's databases requiring an annual subscription fee, contact them and pay the required subscription fee. The same username and password, established in conjunction with the RootsWeb Message Boards, can also be used with their subscription service once they receive your money.
